CHARITY AS A VIRTUE

Here is a mail sent to me from Tyler Perry. He is one Writer, Producer and Director that I admire so much. His works have been so inspiring to me especially 'why did I get married'.

"This made me so angry.

Since Michael Jackson died I have not watched the news. I have just been
so disgusted at how the mainstream media has riddled this family with
disrespect, and no matter what anyone, you or I included, might have
thought of him, the truth of the matter is this - the man was still a
human being and his kids and family deserve some privacy and space. And I
know that I'm not the only one that feels this way, so I purposely kept
the TV off. Anyway, I was walking through the house, and I don't know how
this TV was on, but I saw a little boy on the news crying his eyes out.
So I turned it up. Here is this kid talking about being kicked out of the
Valley Swim Club outside Philadelphia because he was black. Did you hear
me? I said, "No way, this can't be! It's 2009. I don't believe this!" But,
I know it happens even in this year of Obama.

As I listened to the story the anchorperson went on to talk about a woman
named Althea Wright. This young lady started a non-profit called Creative
Steps to help inner-city children. And apparently she had booked the
Valley Swim Club's pool and paid for it to be used by the children through
the summer. As we all know, this is such a great thing. During the summer
our kids can get into a lot of trouble if they don't have something
creative to do. Anyway, as the story went on I was shocked to find out
that it wasn't just him but 65 children in all, black and Hispanic kids,
that were kicked out of the pool. You should Google this story and read it
online for yourself. It's crazy! I went from being mad to being furious.

The news reporter went on to say that the president of the club and its
members said, and I quote, "We don't want to change the complexion of our
club." The president refunded the money of the children and asked them not
to come back. WHAT?! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said I
have to do something for these children. I can't let them think that they
are inferior because of the color of their skin. Then that night I saw
the president of the Valley Swim Club on the news again saying that he
misspoke and that it was a safety issue and the club wasn't able to
accommodate so many children. But the children themselves reportedly said
that members were taking their kids out of the pool, and that they were
saying things like, "Why are they here?" and "They're black", even
insinuating that these kids would steal or maybe hurt their children.

Now get this. A few days later I catch the story again on CNN. This time
the club was inviting the kids to come and swim. WHAT?! I'm confused. If
you refunded the money because there was not enough room in the pool and
it was a safety issue then why are you asking the same 65 kids to come
back?

This is awful, and for anyone that has grown up in the inner-city, you
know that one small act of kindness can change your life. These kids see
the images of President Obama on TV and then they see the drug dealers and
thugs on the corner. Which do you think is more their reality? One act of
kindness
, one person telling them that they are special, one moment of
encouragement can make them move mountains. I know it to be true because I
was one of them. They don't need to be called names and be told that they
are less than, because of the color of their skin or because of where they
come from.

I was told that one of these children, a seven year old, asked her mother
if she was "to black to be in a pool." How do you answer that? How do you
get a seven year old past that? Again, it broke my heart and I wanted to
do something, and I feel like you all would want to do something, too.
That's why I'm telling you this. Since you all have put me in the position
to be able to do something I feel like by me doing this we are all doing
it together. So what I did was on Aug 1st thru 3rd I'm sending these kids
to Disney World, and then to a Disney water park. I want them to know that
for every act of evil that a few people will throw at you, there are
millions more who will do something kind for them. This is all about the
kids. So, thank you for letting me do this. Thank you so much. And do me
a favor please. When you see these kids coming through the airport, (I'm
sure you won't be able to miss them. I imagine they are going to be super
excited) when you see them in the park and in the hotel, let's show them a
whole lot of love and respect. Show them that they are just as good as
anyone else. And show them that they can do or be anything they want to
be no matter what any one says!

Thanks,

Tyler Perry"

Charity (virtue) is an unlimited loving-kindness toward others. Love, in this sense of an unlimited loving-kindness towards all others, is held to be the ultimate perfection of the human spirit, because it is said to both glorify and reflect the nature of God. In its most extreme form such love can be self-sacrificial.

Seven Heavenly Virtues
  • Chastity
  • Temperance
  • Charity
  • Diligence
  • Patience
  • Kindness
  • Humility

Seven Deadly Sins (opposite of the seven virtues)

  • Lust
  • Gluttony
  • Greed
  • Sloth
  • Wrath
  • Envy
  • Pride

Lets try as humans to always show love and be charitable to one another. Its so satisfying when I show kindness to someone and it's awesome to get heaven to be pleased with you.

I love ya all!!!

GOD'S LOVE TO ALL THIS SEASON

The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world. Still before us lie

work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter gives us the spiritual power to do the work,

accept the discipline, and make the sacrifice. ~Henry Knox Sherrill

Celestial spirit that doth roll

The heart's sepulchral stone away,

Be this our resurrection day,

The singing Easter of the soul -

O gentle Master of the Wise,

Teach us to say: "I will arise." ~Richard Le Gallienne

Where man sees but withered leaves, God sees sweet flowers growing. ~Albert Laighton

Let the resurrection joy lift us from loneliness and weakness and despair to strength and beauty

and happiness. ~Floyd W. Tomkins

Unfortunately there is nothing more inane than an Easter carol. It is a religious perversion of the

activity of Spring in our blood. ~Wallace Stevens, 1916

God expects from men something more than at such times, and that it were much to be wished

for the credit of their religion as well as the satisfaction of their conscience that their Easter

devotions would in some measure come up to their Easter dress. ~Robert South, Sermons

But from this earth, this grave, this dust,

My God shall raise me up, I trust. ~Walter Raleigh

How to Propose to a Woman

Proposing can be one of the most unforgettable moments -- so why not make it a moment that she'll never forget.

Steps

  1. Think first. Is this a person that you really want to spend the rest of your life with? If so, read on.
  2. Ask her parents for permission. This can be extraordinarily important to her and her family. Always think of her. However, she may not be the kind of woman who likes this old-fashioned traditionalist approach, so if she doesn't, don't do it. You should know her well enough by now.
  3. Think of her favorite things. For example, does she love roses, beaches, etc.? Have some on hand or choose a site where she will see her favorite things. For instance, where is a place that she loves most? Make reservations if needed.
  4. Look for a ring. Ask her mom or best friend what her ring size is. If you don't know, get a temporary ring, and then get another after you propose.
  5. Be in your best suit.Dress well and good if you want to look attractive and handsome.
  6. Double-check everything. Make sure you have all the things you need for your plan to go smoothly.
  7. Write down something short and sweet to say. For example, say "I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Make sure you write it.
  8. Don't practice. You may feel nervous, but you don't want it seem like it was rehearsed.
  9. Set everything up and ask her to come to a romantic place where you could propose her.
  10. When you're ready, get down on one knee and ask "Will you marry me?" Be prepared for her to start crying and/or squealing with delight and surprise. She is just excited! Also tell her how much you love her and how much you care.
  11. If she says yes, end the proposal with a kiss or a hug. If she says no, do not react poorly. She may need time to think and a memory of your sour face and grumpy attitude will leave a bad impression in her mind. Be a gentleman

THEREAFTER...............

Everyone is clled to devour all this....

Check these pixs, they are kinda lovely

BETWEEN LOVE & ATTRACTION

Attraction

Attraction is a kind of powerful emotion. If you are attracted to a person that means either you like that person or are impressed by the outer qualities. Attraction does not involve the inner feelings or emotions. It is only an outer concept that deals with a person’s beauty, intelligence, style, manners, habits or any other quality.

Love

Love is a very powerful emotion that is experienced by those people who are truly charmed by or crazy about another person. Love is also related to a sense of very strong emotion. Love comprises of a number of different feelings which includes generic pleasure, intense interpersonal attraction.
Love is a very deep ineffable feeling of tender care towards another person. When one is in love they feel as if they are in heaven.

Now let us discuss some of the differences between love and attraction.

First difference

The major difference between love and attraction is that love is completely pure and it stays forever while attraction is just for the time being. If you love someone then that love can not be easily forgotten while attraction fades away with the passage of time.

Second difference
The second difference between love and attraction is that love continues forever while attraction fades away with time. If you are in love with someone then you can not forget that feeling, but attraction is only connected with liking which may be physically, mentally or because of the personal appearance and attitude.

Third difference
Another difference between love and attraction is love involves inner beauty and feelings while attraction only involves the liking for outer appearance, style, dressing sense, attitude, behavior and habits. If you are in love with a person then you love them for whatever they are not because they are beautiful or intelligent.

Fourth difference

When you love someone, that love does not diminish when the object of your affection is in a most unattractive state. You will continue loving that person even if they are suffering from the worst diseases, but in attraction these things do not work at all. People are only attracted to outer beauty and charm.

Fifth difference

You may be attracted to many people but you love only one. Love is something that is very unique and special. If you are attracted to someone that does not mean you will spend your whole life with them, but if you truly love a person you would want to live with them till eternity.

Have a wonderful week........am out!!!

SOUND OF MUSIC

The Sound of Music is based on the true story of the Trapp Family Singers. Julie Andrews stars as Maria, a young nun in an Austrian convent who regularly misses her morning prayers because she enjoys going to the hills to sing the title song. Deciding that Maria needs to learn something about the real world before she can take her vows, the Mother Superior (Peggy Wood) sends her off to be governess for the children of the widowed Captain Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer). Arriving at the Trapp home, Maria discovers that her new boss is cold and aloof, and his seven children virtual automatons-at least, whenever the Captain is around. Otherwise, the kids are holy terrors, as evidenced by the fact that Maria is the latest in a long line of governesses. But Maria soon ingratiates herself with the children, especially oldest daughter Liesl (Charmian Carr), who is in love with teenaged messenger boy Rolf. As Maria herself begins to fall in love with the Captain, she rushes back to the Abbey so as not to complicate his impending marriage to a glamorous baroness (Eleanor Parker). But the children insist that Maria return, the Baroness steps out of the picture, and Maria and the Captain confirm their love in the song "Something Good." Unhappily, they return home from their honeymoon shortly after the Nazis march into Austria. Already, swastikas have been hung on the Von Trapp ancestral home, and Liesl's boyfriend Rolf has been indoctrinated in the "glories" of the Third Reich. The biggest blow occurs when Von Trapp is called back to active duty in the service of the Fuhrer. The Captain wants nothing to do with Nazism, and he begins making plans to take himself and his family out of Austria.

         CAST
 Julie Andrews ... Maria
Christopher Plummer ... Captain Von Trapp
 Eleanor Parker ... The Baroness
 Richard Haydn ... Max Detweiler
 Peggy Wood ... Mother Abbess
 Charmian Carr ... Liesl
 Heather Menzies ... Louisa
 Nicholas Hammond ... Friedrich
 Duane Chase ... Kurt
 Angela Cartwright ... Brigitta
 Debbie Turner ... Marta
 Kym Karath ... Gretl

Has Julie Andrews ever appeared on film more beautifully than in this film? Has she ever sung with such richness and gusto as is captured here? As a big fan of hers, I can watch this musical over and over and just sigh.

The Julie Christie performance that beat Andrews is now all but forgotton. "The Sound of Music," however, lives on and on............

Cheers

Hymen & virginity

Q. What is Hymen?
A. The hymen is a thin, fleshy membrane that in some girls and young women is found at the opening to the vagina. It has a central perforation, which can be round or elongated, through which menstrual blood will flow. It is also called "maidenhead".

Q. Is hymen an evidence of virginity?
A. For a long time, it was believed that an intact hymen was evidence of a girl's virginity, as the hymen posed a barrier to sexual intercourse.

Some girls who are still virgins have no hymen at all.
Also there have been some cases in which girls who have had several sexual intercources had an intact Hymen. This condition is also called as elastic hymen. A minor surgical procedure should remove the hymen is such cases as elastic hymens sometimes do cause pain during sexual intercourse.

Girls who do have a hymen can break their hymen in a number of differerent ways, many times without even knowing it.

Some of the non-sexual ways in which a hymen will tear are:

1. Through an accident or injury.
2. Horseback riding, bicycling, high jumping, gymnastics or similar sports.
3. Insertion of finger or instrument by doctor during pelvic exam.
4. Tampon insertion.
etc..

While the presence of a hymen indicates virginity, the absence of one is definately not a proof a girl is not a virgin.

Since an intact hymen can be stretched and split by an erect penis during sexual intercourse, a woman may feel momentary discomfort and may bleed. Should either persist, a doctor should be consulted. On the other hand, there may be no blood or pain involved at all when the hymen is torn.

Q. Did you know Who was Hymen?
A. According to sources, the hymen is named after the Greek god Hymenaeus. Son of Bacchus and Venus, Hymenaeus earned his reputation as the god of marriage and weddings.

Q. Do you know the alternate word for the breaking of hymen?
A. They call it 'Defloration'.
